TPN Weekly Roundup — 2026-06-13

From Cameron

Howdy, TPN listeners!
Well it looks like there might be a kind-of deal between Iran and the USA, but who knows. Anything could happen – and it often does. Drumpf really stepped in it this time. He’s caught between the IRGC and Nitwityahoo. And the IRGC, it seems, have come out on top. We don’t know the terms of the deal yet, but from the rumours, it looks like Iran might the winners. I tried to warn my Iranian friends who were pushing for the attacks. I get it – you hate the IRGC, and for good reason. But trusting the future of the country to Trump and Israel is not a good strategy. Still – desperate times, I can understand.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Gov stomped on Anthropic’s latest and greatest AI model, FABLE5, which is annoying, because it truly was A M A Z I N G. I hope we get it back quickly.

I don’t have much else to report. Ray is away at the beach this week, so I don’t have to prepare for a recording session with him this week, which allows me to catch up on some admin. Have you noticed I’ve recently re-designed all of our websites? I’ve had zero feedback on them yet, I’m guessing you don’t need to visit them often, but hopefully they are easier to navigate now (not to mention prettier). Click on the show links down the bottom to reveal the new designs.

My Thought For The Day

“Ideology is a specious way of relating to the world. It offers human beings the illusion of an identity, of dignity, and of morality while making it easier for them to part with them. As the repository of something ‘supra-personal’ and objective, it enables people to deceive their conscience and conceal their true position and their inglorious modus vivendi, both from the world and from themselves. It is a very pragmatic, but at the same time an apparently dignified, way of legitimizing what is above, below, and on either side.”
